Stuff I’m bringing to SPX that you maybe haven’t seen before, part III:

The new volume of the Dakota McFadzean, d w and Andy Warner edited anthology Irene.  Also available at the Hic & Hoc store.  Cover and sample pages here by Andy Warner, Laura Terry and Jan Burger.

Stuff I’m bringing to SPX that you maybe haven’t seen before, part II:

The perfect-bound edition of Alabaster’s beautiful Mimi & the Wolves Act I.  In case you missed the handmade edition, or you’re a completist that knows that you can’t live without both.  Also available at the Hic & Hoc store

Stuff I’m bringing to SPX that maybe you haven’t seen before, part I:

The very final copies of Amy Jean Porter’s Spider (Comma) Man.  Also available at the Hic & Hoc Store

Yet another hey ho (plus another sample page) because I’m so excited about the brand new Scaffold book.  Pick it up at SPX this weekend, or buy it on the Hic & Hoc store — $25 gets you the book plus an original 5x5” drawing (right here) or you can get it for the regular $15 retail price (right here).

The mail gods were extremely kind to me today!

First, I got a huge 2013 lunar calendar screen print from Veronica Graham and Jesse Eisenhower, creators of the amazing Scaffold series.

Then a beautiful New Year bear postcard from Amy Jean Porter.

Finally, a four issue run of Henry Gustavson and Tyler Peck’s Mogman series.

In case you were wondering how to spend the $40 your grandparents sent you for the holidays, I’ve temporarily lowered the cost of Ansis Purins’ incredible Zombre figurine to exactly that amount until January 15!  Get it here.

Late breaking news: Hic & Hoc will be there hocking its wares.  Come by and give me a hug!

msgier:

This is another show that I’ll be exhibiting at in December! The first ever Locust Moon Comics Festival, December 16 at the Rotunda in West Philadelphia. There are a lot of great creators coming to town for the fest, in addition to the fine local talent that will be there as well. Please, please, please, if you’re anywhere close by, put this on the calendar!

Jason Poland sent along this sweet Hic & Hoc logo!
Here’s Jason’s explanation: “Here I have drawn Hic as a salamander sea captain, and Hoc as his scruffy cabin mole. Hoc has a Seeing Eye bat friend, but it’s a classic case of the blind leading the blind.”
I sent Jason some free comics.  If you send me a Hic & Hoc logo, I’ll send you comics!  The only guideline is: incompetent pirates mateys.
