Wow — Ryan Dirks’ “The Martian” begins with a guy getting spit out of some sort of pod like thing and hurling all over the place only to learn that he’s on Mars, and just gets better from there. This is sophisticated scifi along the lines of Malachi Ward in a resplendent red, orange and maroon color scheme.
